Given my past experiences with expensive Turtle Beach headsets, I bought a two-year warranty for my even more expensive Turtle Beach Elite Pro.
This is a thing that it both cool and good. My only complaint is that there’s so much sound-deadening in the ear pieces that I keep losing control over the volume of my voice, but I guess that’s just my problem. Also my party could hear me eating pistachios. So if you’re an avid pistachio enthusiast such as myself, look elsewhere.

What about pistachio ice cream? Could they hear me eat that?

Is there a group or a convention for pistachio enthusiasts?

I also recently purchased a new headset. I rarely game, but I do stream and the game I play’s sequel is out in spring with 4-player co-op so I needed a better mic than what comes with an Xbone. Plus I needed to hear in game chat better.
So I got a refurbed set of Ear Force XO Fours.
The sound is good, not great (not enough bass for my liking) but the mic quality is on point. I listened back to my latest stream and its nearly on par with other pros that I watch. They don’t drown out TOO much ambient noise, and do not play my voice through the headphones but I can hear it well enough to not be loud and wake up my kids.
Yet.

My experiences with turtle Beach headphones have all been pretty bad. Granted, my last experience with them was close to a decade ago. Hopefully they have increased the qc on them. Personally I would recommend the hyperx cloud. The headphones are actually clones of the Takstar Pro 80s which are some of the best headphones you can buy under $80.
